What happens if I miss my Cook County appeal deadline?

If you miss the Assessor’s deadline for your township, you are not out of options — the Board of Review opens the same township later, with its own separate window, and you can file there. If you miss both, you generally wait for the next year. A factual error, though, may still be fixable any time through a Certificate of Error.

Because the two stages have different deadlines, a missed Assessor window is recoverable. Watch your township’s Board of Review opening and file then.
